Depression
Out of the many problems that plague Americans today, an increasingly serious and widespread issue is depression. ... As time goes on and many suffering from depression remain undiagnosed, their lives, as well as the lives of those around them, are seriously affected. Depression has been and is a serious problem for America as a nation as people see those around them affected by it as well as those throughout history when one studies their literature and other works. ... Despite new treatments, many suffering from this illness do not think they can be helped or do not recognize their illness as depression. ... There are many types of depression, all which includes different symptoms. Some of these may include: bipolar disorder, major depression, double depression or dysthymic disorder. In general, individuals suffering from depression are often sad or hopeless and many loose interest in former favorite hobbies. Many have persistent physical pains such as headaches and those suffering from depression often contemplate suicide or even attempt it. Depression is often inherited as it can be passed down from generation to generation.
