Frankenstein movies compare to the book

After viewing and reading three version of Mary Shelleys Frankenstein, its quite easy to notice differences between the novel and the films. But what have the two movie directors tried to acheived in adapting the novel into movies by modifying or even changing the plot, characters and setting. James Whale, director of the 1931 movie Frankenstein, changed the novels principle plot to transform it into a horror movie. Over the years, there have been many films made following the influentiel book. One of the most memorable books-turned-movie is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley with a few different versions. The director of that version wanted to keep his film as accurate to the book unlike the other to show the real story of Frankenstein. The original version of Frankenstein was written by Mary Shelley. In her book, the story begins with letters from Robert Walton who is captain of ship, to his sister Mrs. ... In these letters, he explains his fascinating encounter with Victor Frankenstein and his "creation". ... The book developped the characters and explained their actions. ... Even if the creation was a monster, he did have feelings and demonstrated emotions throughout the book. ... His life will end in the Northen Waters during his chase for Frankenstein. The 1994 film, directed by Kenneth Branagh, is follows the books plot more closely than the original 1931 Frankenstein movies.
