I’m going to talk about Fibromyalgia Syndrome also known called “Fibro” or “FMS” for short. Fibro produces a chronic body-wide pain which can be felt from the head to the toe. The cause of Fibro is still unknown. It basically means pain in the muscles, ligaments, and tendons. It has been described as being very painful. Some people have even said that they ache all over and their muscles feel like they have been pulled or over worked. And sometimes their muscles twitch or burn. Fibro is common in both men and women, but it occurs more commonly in women. Personally in my family, my mother and my aunt both have Fibro. In this speech I’m going to talk about the symptoms that occur from Fibro, the possible causes of Fibro, and the treatments that help make living with Fibro a little better. The main symptom involved with Fibromyalgia is body aches and pains. The pains occur all over. Such as in the lower portion of the head, in the neck, in the shoulders, in the elbows, in the hips, lower back, and in the knees. Quite often the pain and joint stiffness are worst in the morning and may hurt more in muscle groups that are used repetitively.
