I feel that our health care system is stagnant. I believe that anytime social economics is a governing factor on how ones well being is determined, will have an effect on the health of the American people. Why should money be the governing factor when it comes to ones health? I feel everyone should have a right to equal health, whether they are poor or middleclass. I agree that the American government should have the authority for overseeing the well being of the American people. A three-tier system is more profitable for upper class Americans who don’t have to live in the lower class areas. The lower class is usually the ones exposed/risk to the worst medical condition, which should be considered by current and future legislation. I disagree with the article’s views on the middle class, because today they are the people who work twice as hard to earn an honest living, until they are laid off or their employers declare bankruptcy. America is capitalist system where “money talks and bull crap walks”, unfortunately, most of us American don’t have that kind of money. The hard concept sounds great, but not in the control of business officials and brokers. In 1994, we lost a great deal, as a health major; my goal is to work hard towards having a single tier health system, in which the needs of a patient comes first, because it determines what that patient receives, healthcare is essential like food, water and safety. I’m impressed with what current administration is trying to do- contracting out health care management to businesses; the government can downsize the expenditures and be more like Canada and Europe but America’s needs are not necessarily the needs of Canada and Europe. I belong to the greatest nation in the world. I would like the future of health care coverage be solely a privatized anemity of social economics classification. We should not have worry about ways of getting treatment for an infection or terrible disease. I believe that people should stand firm to stop paying HMO’s and start investing their money, with the government towards a centrally based health care system. If this happens, everyone will receive the medical care that they truly deserve. It would also alleviate the healthcare expenditures and provides a satisfactory standard of care, in that way everyone would be considered equals, and also gets equal treatment.
