Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of The Christ” This movie truly uses the word ‘Passion’ correctly. In its Latin roots it means pain and suffering, and this movie surely lived up to its name. ... Gibsons enactment of this horrendous act was very scripturally accurate. Although some might argue that it is showed in a view that portrays the jewish in this movie negatively, I think that it also represents the Jewish as helping and compassionate people, as exhibited most clearly by Simon, who helped Jesus carry the cross.
