Tattoos & the Bible
Tattoos are one of the biggest issues faced in today’s churches. If a man walks into a church for a job and has a visible tattoo, in most cases he is less likely to receive that job. If someone walks into a church with a tattoo, they are most likely to be judge by someone for it. Tattoos are believed to be signs of idols, but there are some out there who believe that they are only a work of art. ... If people would only read a little before and a little after they would see that God is talking nothing about tattoos of today. ...
"Samuel Micheals" is a youth pastor at a local area church. ... Today he has three tattoos and yet he remains a Youth Pastor. Here is what he has to say about the subject; “I believe that anything done as far as tattoos should not be something done in rebellion, I think that we should be vary careful about what we put on our bodies, we are spiritual examples. In fact at times I have been able to witness because of my tattoos. ... Understanding personal conviction, tattoos are not for everybody, anything we do should be done prayerfully not out of rebellion. ... Maybe that cashier has a tattoo and has been afraid to go to church because they do not want to be judged.
