Why the driving age should be lowered

If the driving age was lowered it would prevent kids from missing events. In Europe, you are allowed to drive mopeds at the age of 14. Obviously, teenagers can handle mopeds in Europe, why can’t we. If a teenager there is allowed to ride mopeds why shouldn’t we be allowed also.
