Girl Interupted
In the movie Girl Interrupted a character by the name of Susanna Kaysen (Winona Ryder) is diagnosed with a mental health disease known as borderline personality disorder. That is a disorder where a person experiences a repetitive pattern of disorganization and instability in self-image or mood. One minute a person could be cool and calm, and then out of nowhere that same person can become enraged with anger. About five million Americans suffer from this disease today. A person who suffers from this disease is usually a smart person then becomes very hurt by a certain tragic event where they lose someone that was at one time very close to them. She was brought for help after a suicide attempt. In the beginning when she first get put in the mental hospital, which was called Claymore, it looks like she was diagnosed with something that she didn’t suffer from and doesn’t want to live the life that her parents want her to live.
