this is my essayMike Walmer Speech 110 Goals for the Year It is important to have goals when trying something new. When going into an activity, a person should know exactly what he or she wants to get out of it. This way the person will have something to work towards. For my speech class, I have come up with a few goals of my own. Throughout the semester, I will constantly work towards these goals in an effort to get the most out of this class. Three goals that I have set for myself in speech class are to learn public speaking skills, learn of my bad speaking habits and eliminate them, as well as overcome some of my fear of public speaking. The first goal that I have set is to learn the basic public speaking skills. I have learned many skills in other classes and in high school, but I want to learn more. A person can never learn enough, especially about speaking in public. I want to learn the best way to research for a speech, take notes, and deliver a speech.
