500 Word Reaction to the Odyssey

500 Word Reaction to “The Odyssey” For this reaction I have chosen to write about woman’s roles in the story. Throughout the story Odysseus is unfaithful to his wife while he is on his journey but to him he doesn’t consider this as being unfaithful because he is true in his heart. I do not believe in his theory at all because to me he is still sleeping with another woman whether he is faithful in his heart or not. I’m sure that if his wife were unfaithful she would get in trouble whether she was faithful in her heart or not. This theory reminds me of something called the double standard, which is still happening today. This standard states that if a guy has sex, no matter how many girls he has sex with, he will be considered a pimp and a thug and will be considered cool.
