A shadow hangs over Lyndon Baines Johnson’s reputation as president due largely in part to his foreign relations and the Vietnam War and his controversial domestic policies such as his Great Society and his War on Poverty programs yet as a president, Lyndon Johnson’s accomplishments are often overlooked, tainted by the Vietnam War. Johnson’s political career included the House of Representatives, the Senate, vice-presidency and the presidency. Johnson was one of the most important post-World War II presidents of this country and his significance is not recognized enough. Lyndon B.
