The Eyes of Man When one looks at the world today it is hard not to judge one by the way they look, act or speak. However, this is something the human kind has implemented. The perfect example would have to be in the book True Notebooks by Mark Salzman. This book opens the eyes of the reader by telling a story about a kid who is placed in a Juvenile Hall, a lock up place for violent teenage offenders. Like any other human would, Salzman went in expecting the worse. He already judged the kid before he got a chance to know him. Sadly, he will not be the first nor will he be the last human to do so. It is natural to see that this kind of scrutiny on people can cause prejudice or even a common known thing such as stereotyping. The American society today have adopted many ways of categorizing other people even their own. Sometimes it is not a conscious decision to do so. The human kind has been doing it for so long that it has become an everyday ritual. When we judge people or place them in such groups we tend to base them on race, sexual preference, neighborhoods, education, etc.
