Throughout my life I have heard that history is a boring
subject. More often than not, I, myself, used to think that
history was a waste of time since I would not need it in the
future unless I became a history teacher. ... However, what
I have come to realize is that history has become more
interesting as the years go by. I do not know if it is because
I am older and I comprehend better, or if the most
controversial facts about history are intentionally saved for a
more mature audience. ...

has taught me that although we should not depend on the past to
