We all need to be aware of the personal and business dealings we have with everyone and think about why we do or do not have respect for every person. Respect is earned in most cases today, either by you or someone you know. ... This means that if you wear clothes that they find offensive or inappropriate, style your hair in an unconventional manner, or even wear your makeup heavier than they like, you could walk away with absolutely no respect at all. When no respect is given to a person, most actions that follow could be described as discrimination. ... By creating this division and lack of respect, these two classes of people will not have equal opportunities. This can be defined as discrimination. ... Because of our idea of a “good” man, those who do not measure up as strong, wise, and never failing do not receive the respect that others do.
