Student Exchange Program Dear Exchange Program evaluators, It has come to my attention that I possess the opportunity to visit the country of Japan. I would have to be a fool not to write this paper and submit a request that I might be selected for such an opportunity. Since attending middle school I have held a deep-seated interest in Japanese culture broadening from my encounter with anime to all facets of the unique culture. It would be my sincere wish to be elected as the American representation of this program’s exchange and to address to you the reasons pertaining to this objective. These include why I seek to participate, what I shall do there, and why I would be an excellent candidate. Participation in the program would allow me to accomplish various goals of which are yet unachievable in the States.
