Drug Testing in High School Just Say No

Randomly drug testing teens in high schools across the nation is an unrealistic solution to a very prominent problem in the US. Teen drug usage is an ongoing problem that needs to be resolved, but this is not the way to do it. While there may be a few positive aspects of the idea, in its entirety, random drug testing does more harm than good. Randomly drug testing students will sabotage the student-teacher relationship. ... A teacher is meant to be someone there on the student’s side, looking out for what is best for their students, but when they enforce these drug tests, they become the enemy. If a student is having a drug problem, he should feel comfortable with going to his teacher for help instead of fearing being reprimanded for it.
