Technology has made us lose the art of Communication
Technology has made us lose the art of communication I do not think that technology has made us lose the art of communication. Technology has increased communication for disabled and dyslexic people. It has speeded up communication across the world, it has led to faster translations of languages so that foreigners can understand each other more, and it has allowed parts of the world to be reached with news from other parts. New forms of communication, which according to the Chambers Dictionary is "the sharing of an idea or thought with others" have increased with technology. Examples are texting, amplified pop music, audio books, photos, and images of art. ... About a fifth of the worlds population are therefore better communicators and the disabled such as Seven Hawkins, who have all their time to think and work through ideas, can let us know, using clever technical devices what new ideas they have developed and how they feel about life. ... My reply to that is language has always developed and changed and now that the technology is there for us to communicate quicker language is also developing quicker. So it is a natural process speeded up by technology. However, it is clear that some of the technologies such as cars, radios and computers have caused us to become more isolated from other people and not to spend so much time working with them or travelling with them o,r spending time in a local community.
