The issue of population control is a very delicate one. The world is very ignorant regarding the issue of population. Most people still possess the old definition of population, which is that population is the amount of people in a particular area or region; but in actual fact, population is the use of resources in an area or region. Also many citizens of particular countries depend on huge families to survive. Therefore population should not be controlled because the dependency load will be too high , undeveloped countries need more people to to sustain life, and because population is not the amount of people in a region but is the use of the resources in the region. Population should not be controlled because the dependency load will be far too high in the future. For example as Ryan stated, if the population is controlled, how will 20 million children be able to take care of 40 million retirees. It just would not be possible, there is no solution to the dilemma it would cause. Gagan's ridiculous idea of life insurance definitely would not work.
