Trying to regulate the cannabis and tobacco market

The issue of legalising Cannabis has been ongoing for many years. The majority of Labour MP’s who expressed a preference say that they might under certain circumstances back moves to decriminalise Cannabis. ... For the Government to acquire full knowledge of what is thought of as an incompletely developed market they would require a public and scientific debate. Many feel that now the classification of Cannabis has been down graded its use should become acceptable, there is plenty of evidence to show the public are far more relaxed now than a decade ago. ... Cannabis is known as the safest recreational drug but until there is concrete evidence that Cannabis is not harmful, the Government should not change the current laws.
