This year to complete my Christian Service I joined a club that is run by YMCA’s across the country called Leaders and also I have helped around the house/neighborhood on several occasions. The reason for me joining the Leaders program was to be able to meet new people and to help out the Melrose community. Leaders is run to help out the elderly, help younger children, and helping run the school age program which helps 3-5 graders after school with homework and other school activities. Every week members are assigned to do two hours of service a week and to help out at their locations. One particular service that the Leaders club and I helped run was a fun night at the Y, which was on Friday March 8 from 6-9.
