Introduction to Music Music how do we define it? Well if you were to look in Webster’s dictionary it would say; music is the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity. Well you could say that if you wanted a literal definition to tell you what you already know; but what really is music? Music is an artist’s expression of their feelings at that particular moment in time. Music gives artists a chance to express themselves at what they do best.
