Kufu 2551-2528 Known mainly for his work on the pyramid Giza Kufu was one of the more important pharaohs of Egypt. He ruled a unified Egypt and created the great pyramid of Giza. During the making of Giza, he focus on the single pyramid, unlike his father. There are not many found documents of pharaoh Kufu. But historians are certain that he accomplished many things for Egypt. Ramesses II 1290-1224 b.c.e Ramesses is often considered one of the most important pharaohs in Egyptian history. Often called Remesses the great, he planned building projects up the Nile, he constructed palaces, opened or repaired wells, quarries, mines, as well as established a new capital. His most impressive work was the huge tomb at Thebes, his two temples at the Simbel, and the Ramessues, agiant mortuary, in western Thebes.
