Fresh water is a natural resource that we all need to survive. Water is a key essential in balancing the ecosystem and the human environment. "The same water has been on Earth for hundreds of millions of years. Water seems to disappear when it evaporates (turns into gas and mixes with the air). But gas particles (tiny bits) in the air join to form drops of liquid water. Drops may fall as rain or snow, appear as dew on a leaf, or bead on your glass of ice water" [Fluid Facts & Fictions]. We have one chance at saving our fresh water. ... A large contributing factor to landscape is water. As we all know water is a major factor in the lives of all living creatures on Earth. As a student in the landscape department I would like to make some changes if possible to help with water conservation. Water conservation is a beneficial tool to boost the environment and should be practiced by every homeowner.

The reduction of runoff of storm water and irrigation that carries topsoils and fertilizers into streams and lakes also poses as a positive factor.
