In the Inferno Dante created his version of Hell, he used his own people in conjunction with the seven deadly sins pride, envy, wrath, sloth, avarice, gluttony, and lechery. If I were to follow in the footsteps of Dante and create my own version of hell my guide would be Chris Farley. Chris sinned in many ways the most profound was probably gluttony. He was an over eater and an avid user of recreational drugs. When I met Chris I was already at the Purgatory being that this is the in between ground from heaven to hell everything was grey other than our clothes I noticed that Chris was wearing the sport coat from the Fat man in a little coat skit. There were no smells and no sounds other than farley’s voice as he exclaimed “Hey little guy your going to hell and I’m going to be your guide” scared as I was, I played it off with calm and cool “well, well, well if it isn’t Chris Farley.” Chris picked up on my lack of amusement in his joking about my damnation he quickly responded with “I’m just joshin ya buddy, you are going to hell but only enroute to heaven! C’mon I’ll show you the way” in the abnormally high pitched voice I had come to know as a teen. The first obstacle we came to was a small black hole in the grey landscape. Chris pointed out that the hole was where we would enter hell, I thought “how in the hell is Chris going to fit his fat but through that small hole” it was only about 18 inches wide and we are talking about a man with at least a 44 inch waste. All of the sudden he yelled follow me took about five steps an dove head first into the hole, ssssshhhhpp it sucked him in. Knowing that a kind person such as Farley would not lead me astray and having no other option I followed in the same manner ssssshhhhpp it sucked me in!!
