Oedipus Rex Freewill
Fate or freewill, which theory applies? This is the question that needs answering when examining Sophocles’ play Oedipus Rex. There are many arguments for both of these theories, but I believe the play is a freewill piece. During the play Oedipus Rex, the main character Oedipus, faces many hardships throughout the play and, during these times he has the choice to choose what he wants and what he will do, because of the play’s basis on freewill.
