Considering the characters in “Romeo & Juliet” in the famous tragedy written by William Shakespeare probably in last 1590’s, we may observe the unrolling of ethoi, it means, different moral ideas and attitudes that belong to the main characters of the play: one ethos revealed in Romeo and Juliet’s relationship and their view of love and another in Mercutio and the Nurse’s speeches. ... When Romeo was in love with Rosaline,he had conventional attitudes that a lover had: he put his clothes out of alignment,he wrote poems and cried “adding to clouds more clouds with his deep sighs”. ... However, when he meets Juliet he loves at first sight and his love is not avoided: they live a mutual love.
