: The purpose of this paper is to conduct some bibliographical and historical research about the Hispanics, Mexicans and Chicanos in the state of Colorado. The goal is to find differences and similarities between the official documents’ data and the testimonies and data obtained by other sources; and then, hopefully, fill some gaps in the history of these ethnic groups. Some highlights that I expect to find is, whether the ethnic differences exist or not between Chicanos, Mexicans and Hispanics living in the state of Colorado (since they use to be considered within the same category). I also want to obtain explanations of which factors may influence them to modify their culture and how this has created different ethnic groups (different to the Mexicans and Hispanics living outside the country or even the state). I collected some bibliography that I found at different databases as well as the library, and I want to complement this with recent news that I will analyses as soon as they come out from newspapers, magazines and the web. The reason of this is that I consider that the history of the Mexicans in Colorado continues to be written, since they are a recent wage of immigration that is still taking place nowadays.
