I HAVE NONE

The book, the Awakening, by Kate Chopin is seen as a book with female unfaithfulness to marriage. The main character, Edna Ponetellier, fits the story of this book because of her problems and a main one being her marriage to Leonce. Edna in the book shows how she is different then the rest of society by her sexual desires and by acting on them. While in the book she discovers her independent ways, which means by being separate from her husband and children, which in the end could lead to loneliness. In the beginning of the book Edna is perfectly fine and her marriage is great, but this is because she is unaware of the feelings she has and her desire for independence.
