Mary Magdalene was also known to be grateful to Jesus for his mercy and was a faithful follower. Mary Magdalene also accompanied Jesus on his last trip to Jerusalem (Matt. ... Mary Magdalene was a witness at Jesus’s crucifixion, she stayed until his body was taken down from the cross and put in the tomb. ... Then, two angels appeared to Mary Magdalene and told her that Christ was risen. Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene, and she did not recognize him until he called her by name. ... Whether she was a prostitute, wife of Jesus, or Apostle to the Apostles, Mary Magdalene is seen as a woman who goes down in history as a woman who truly loved Jesus with all of her heart. ...
One might wonder: if Mary Magdalene was such a strong biblical character, how is she portrayed as a prostitute? There is no textual evidence to be found that supports the idea that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. ... magdalene. ...
