Statement of intent:
The work considered Novel Without a Name, is a novel that displays both an unforgiving realism of war while using the first person narrative. The task at hand includes successfully employing the admired techniques Huong uses throughout the novel; imagery and the use of first person narrative. The pastiche will attempt to mimic the skillful and effortless realism the author brings to the book. ... Throughout the novel from beginning to end Huong successfully illustrates the harsh reality and intensity of war and its unfruitfulness, by using both language and imagery. ... ” Merely a taste of what Huong presents in her novel, as she penetrates the mind and soul of her readers.
Pastiche:
In the front lines I often find myself wondering when my duration on this trench dug soil ends.
