Before I begin my brief analysis, let me first mention how blessed we all are to live in such a wonderful country like the Unites States. As I compare America with its massive and impressive telecommunications infrastructure to other countries, it amasses me how far we have come as a country in such a relatively short period of time. Our telecommunications infrastructure deployed throughout the multiple time zones is by far bar none. ... It’s incredible, and sometimes mind boggling, to observe the changes in the telecommunications industry since the 1984 divestiture of AT&T. ... Honduras is considered one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere and was severely set back economically in 1998 by Hurricane Mitch; though signs of economic recovery are quickly underway.
