The hemp plant is characteristically bushy and leafy, and it grows flower buds, which produce the substance marijuana. Humans have smoked marijuana for centuries, as it contains the chemical Tetra-hydrocannabinol that gives the smoker a “high”. Yet, any person found with marijuana in the state of Massachusetts, and many other states for that matter, is charged with a felony possession of a controlled substance. The conspiracy against marijuana has quite a history, stemming back to corporate lies to feed their greed inspired intentions. The lies and misinforming statements about the physical effects of marijuana need to stop; the corporate conspiracy of hemp as a product should be uncovered; and this potential miracle drug needs to be legalized for at least constructive uses. Some professionals who comment on marijuana do not do their homework on the drug. Dr. Eric A. Voth M.D. FACP, compares the negative effects of marijuana and tobacco on the Institute of Global Drug Policy’s website. Dr. Voth states that tobacco and marijuana are both cancer-causing substances, which have been connected to many deaths. Both of the drugs are addicting, with THC and nicotine being the active ingredients respectively. Dr. Voth warns that marijuana users “abuse” the drug for its euphoric high, and often claim the drug is harmless.
