Observation Project for Radiology Introduction Experience is one of the key things that help one to better understand one’s situation. My experience in doing my observations was very fulfilling to me. I got to see many different procedures that were done in the facilities, as well as aiding some of the radiologic technologists. Many positive and negative aspects came into play while I was observing. I came to understand what lies ahead for me in my future. The environment around you really makes a difference in your performance. Some people like to be outside while they work and some like to be inside. The atmosphere that I observed in the radiology department was really easy going. No one seemed to be stressed out and I know that comes into factor because at my current job the people are always under constant pressure to sell. This causes many disruptions on the team effort that they should have. Hospitals provide a lunchroom, which makes things easier for the staff. This is because you don’t have to worry about where your going to eat or if you have enough time to get lunch somewhere else. Another positive thing is that it seemed like everyone knew everyone else on a first name basis. I’ve been working at my job now for about two years and I know first hand that it means a lot when people are on a first name basis. This is because most of the people who I work with do not care to know someone by first name. They just want to do their job. I try to always get on a more personal level with most of the customers that I come across.
