Natural Life versus Civilization
In Mark Twains The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, there are various themes and ideas present during the whole novel. The primary theme of the novel is the conflict between civilization and "natural life." Huck lives both a natural and civilized life in the book, which helps contrast the two. Throughout the novel, Twain seems to suggest that the uncivilized way of life is better; he draws on the ideas that civilization damages rather than improves human beings.
