Dear Dr Johnson I am writing with reference to your recent advertisement in New Scientist for a Clinical Scientist (Ref. NS201). I have recently completed my BSc degree in Biochemistry (Toxicology) with an Upper Second Class Honours from the University of Surrey. As you can see from my CV, I can offer a considerable amount of relevant experience, including: A degree which has included several courses related to biochemistry, immunology, drug metabolism and toxicology. Immunology based BSc project: The role of macrophages in septic shock. Experience in applying computer assisted design techniques to predict potential dye activity. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment in common use. Familiarity with cell culture and PCR techniques. In addition to my technical experience I have excellent communication skills having given several presentations at University.
