Dickens uses the literary elements minor characters and the setting to send ideas to the reader. The minor characters attributes and language bopth give an obvious message. The settings are very different and this helps contrast the two places and the ideas that are attatched to them. One minor character that is used to show the corruption of the upper class is Estella. She is portrayed as ravishing and stuck up.She is obsessed with making Pip feel like the lower class he is. Yet Pip is stull very much inlove with Estella despite her rude manner.
