significant moment
Have you ever seen your life flash before your eyes? I have and believe me it was a frightening experience. It started August 2, 2000 a hot and muggy summer night. I had taken a nice cool shower, which I didn’t want to get out of because the water felt so good running down my body. But eventually I had to get out so I did and I toweled dry so I could put on my white Capri pajama pants with the matching white spaghetti strap shirt that had Old Navy printed across the chest. Once I was dressed my baby sister and I sat out on the porch in the rocking chair and I was rocking her to sleep while reading to her bible stories. We were the only people out that night about 10:00 PM, I guess everyone else were in the house under the air conditioner. I wish I could have been under the air conditioner too but mine was broken the fan wouldn’t turn and it was so hot in my room I could cook an egg on my floor. Furthermore I was putting her to sleep and not going to sleep myself because I was waiting for MS Renee my boyfriend Sean’s mother to come pick me up. I was spending the night at her house because we were going to Dorney Park early the next morning. When Ms Renee drove up and beeped her horn twice she startled my sister awoke after I spent what seemed like hours to get her asleep. Since my sister Desire was awoken, I told her “I’m bout to leave and I’ll see you later, love you” and she replied “See you Netty”. We kissed and hugged each other goodbye and she started to cry I too was sad because I didn’t want to leave her but I had to go because I promised my boyfriend I’d spend time with his family. I took my sister in the house and hollered “Mom I’m bout to go” she came into the living room gave me a kiss and said “goodbye, have fun, and call me!”. “Okay love you” I replied, running down the stairs to the car. The car was a dole blue color, I can’t recall the name but I do know it was old. The car was made to fit five people but already there were six people in the car and I made the seventh. That car was packed Mr. Moses Sean’s dad was driving, Ms Renee was in the passengers seat, Brandon, Sean’s chubby little brother was sitting between them on the little compartment or stash box people call it, Laurren, Ashleigh, and Tiphone Sean’s little sisters and I were all in the back seat.
