Character analysis of Jem Finch
German Finch, known as Jem, was a key character in the book To Kill A Mocking Bird. ... He was introduced as Scout Finch¡¯s brother who broke his arm at an early age in his life. Jem was portrayed perfectly to be a brother for Scout, I think. Jem does things in ways older brothers do to their siblings, in this case, his sister Scout. ... Jem is also loving and gentle with the Scout in some parts of the story, mostly in the beginning of the book. ... But after Jem and Dill get more acquainted with each other, his relationship with Scout took a downward spiral. ... The last night before Dill go, Jem, Dill and Scout went to peek through the Boo Radley¡¯s windows, and Jem had his pants stuck in the fence. ... This showed us that Jem and Atticus have a very good relationship, where Jem would not want to get Atticus angry and lose his trust for Jem.
