The 7 Elements

There are seven elements of an effective speech plan. The first one is “What is my goal in this speech?” This involves the formation of a speech goal. The speech goal is a statement of what you want your audience to know, believe, or do. The second is “Where can I find information that I need to achieve this goal?” It is important to have factual research sources but it is also essential to have experiences of your own to make the speech more interesting or exciting. The third is “How can I organize and outline this information in a way that is most likely to help me achieve my goal?” The best way to prepare for this is by not starting on the introduction but working on the body first.
