Most people who are asked about “the Passion of the Christ” say that the filmed moved them or that the movie changed them forever. ... If Gibson created this film to raise the faith of Christians he could have thought of a better way of telling the story of Christ and not just beat him and make Jews look like murderers. ... (For most of its duration, the movie depicts the brutal beating of Christ, seeking to inspire the sympathy of its audience. ... The violence in The Passion was no more gruesome than many other horror or war movie. ... I am sure that Jews walking out of Schindler’s List probably had similar reactions to the Catholics coming out of The Passion.
