Graves studio was a valid part of the Chadron community between 1906-1940. McIntire a local business man who owned the shop previously until Ray bought the business from him in 1906. Ray Graves who ran the store until 1917 when he died from Influenza founded the Graves Photoshop in 1906. The family business was taken over by Mrs. Ray Graves in the year 1917 she kept the company running until 1940. Famous people who the Graves family took photos of were that of Buffalo Bill and Red Cloud. They have 78 photos of Red Cloud all photos were taken after his blindness.
