The last placement that I under took was at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where I learnt aspects of basic nursing care, The ward was a male diabetic ward and I feel that I gained a lot from this, including learning about various forms of medication that is used, and the ways of administrating this medication. I also spent two days with the Queens Square district nurses, though this was a short placement the staff nurse that I was with told me a lot about how to dress wounds and how to work as aseptically as possible. ... Although I am given new challenges to deal with on a regular basis, and most of the time I am able to work through these I am on occasion # Worried that I do not perform to the best of my ability as I do not always ask for help which is available to myself, as I care a great deal about what people will think if I don’t complete tasks given to me on my own. ... I do care about what people think of me, but I am learning that criticism ,which is not always good, is making me more confident within facing my daily achievements.
