     When thinking of the greatest singer and songwriters, one may find it hard to forget about Johnny Cash. Also known as the man in black, Johnny Cash has released approximately 500 albums and has recorded over 1200 hundred songs. Experiencing a career span close to 50, years Johnny Cash has changed from an amphetamine and alcohol driven rebellious young entertainer to a gracious grandfather who walks with God. Having been a young child in a depression-ridden family during the 1930’s, Cash has done a remarkable job at rising from rags to riches in his lifetime. ... Cash was born February 26, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas. His parents, Ray and Carrie Cash, were cotton farmers that moved their family to Dyess, Arkansas due to a governmental loan given to them to purchase a home and many acres to raise crops for an income. ...
