A world in disorder and confusing. A world that had been almost destroyed because of the fighting. this is the state of the world during the post-World War II era. Out of the masses of rubble and destruction emerged two super powers. These super powers each represented the two dominating ideologies of the time. The first was Russia, that had come to be the leader of the communist world. The next was America, the country that led the free and democratic countries of the world. During the time of the 1940s and 1950s two major events strained the already poor relations of the belligerents.
