Science and technology are often linked together. ... Science usually involves the development of a hypothesis, the testing of the hypothesis by controlled experimentation or observation, the collection and analysis of data to produce results and the drawing of valid conclusions based on those results. On the other hand, technology usually has to do with the design and development of a solution to a problem and yields a product, process, or environment that serves a real need [1]. In the history of science and technology, one often finds that an invention leads to a new technology. The science is then developed to explain this new technology.
