Man Called Horse
In the story, “A Man Called Horse,” the first man described is wealthy, lives with the many comforts of his “good” family, and leaves all he has in search of his equals. The man named Horse starts as a worthless slave of the Crow Indians and strives to become a person who is rightfully equal with their people. The final man returns to his wealth and no longer boasts, because he knows he is equal with all men. The man in the beginning of the story is much different from Horse, and Horse is also quite different from the man at the end of the tale. At the start of the story, there is a young man who is of a wealthy family and lives with many comforts.
