The first part: (When the light comes up, Mrs. Mallard sits in the living room besides a window. She wears her pajamas and looks very depressed. At the same time, her sister, Josephine, is on the way to her home. Mr. Mallard・s friend, Richards, is in the newspaper office and reads the news of Mr. Mallard・s death.) Josephine: Good morning, Richards. Do you get the news of Mr. Mallard・s death? (She stands in front of Mr. Mallard・s house for ten minutes and hesitate to inform her sister the bad news. Now, she meets Richard and whispers to him.) Richard: Uh! How can we tell her such terrible news? She cannot bear any unexpected setback.
