The Love Parade is an annual event that many desire to attend for it’s liberating experience and allows for “partiers” to come together and share their love for good times and music. In result, the existence of the Love Parade has allowed for a growing number of fans to attend festivities, set a precedence for a “full plate” of week long activities, and makes a perfect atmosphere to enjoy yourself while expressing personal freedoms. ...
The Love Parade started in 1988 when DJ (Doctor) Motte decided to celebrate his birthday with 150 of his closest friends. Blasting techno music from the back of a bus (before the techno scene became mainstream) they proceeded to parade down Ku’damm
to the gawks and stares of the locals.
