Love is Conditional!
One of the biggest mistakes a person can make in a relationship today is in believing that love is unconditional. We all talk about a world where we wish people could coexist and love each other without regard to race, religion, appearance or place in society. Is it fair to believe that love can possibly be unconditional? The answer to that question would be yes if you lived in a storybook or in your imagination, but we all live in a world that is full of conditions and that includes love. Believing that love is or should be unconditional is not accepting reality and could be considered unhealthy thinking.
In order to understand why people believe in "unconditional love", you have to look at the reason that it is preached in the first place. ... The reality is that any love is conditional! ... If you have a child, you believe you love that child unconditionally, and when a child is young it is easy to think that way, as they are so innocent and unknowing. ... Thus your love is conditional. ... ” Or “I need your attention, your sympathy, your consent, your time, your presence, your love.
