Thom Yorke Thomas Edward Yorke the dynamic lead singer and lyricist form the band Radiohead was born on October 7, 1968. He grew up in Oxford, England and attended Abingdon School; a private all boys school in Oxford. When Thom was younger he was made fun of a lot by his school mates one of which was said to have called him a salamander because a birth defect leaving him with a gimp eye. This however, this did not keep Thom down. It only inspired more character in an already unique individual. After graduating high school Thom went on to attend Exeter University where he studied English and Art. While in college Thom was in a band called Flickernoise; a Exeter Techno band.
